yorkeantiquetextiles: Shibori Kimono Panel - Japan - Mid-Showa Era (1940-1970) his is one of those Japanese textiles - that although created in the mid to late-mid 20th century - certainly matches in technique and boldness earlier Taisho era ones. It was obviously created by a talented team of craftspeople. The base silk if a rinzu, over which are paterns created with shibori. Some of the florals are competely embroidered, and there is an amount of metallic thread couching.
